University Library

The University Library supports USask graduate students by providing access to Librarians, Learning Specialists, Library Assistants, Writing Tutors, and Peer Mentors for learning support.

Gwenna Moss Centre

The Gwenna Moss Centre for Teaching and Learning (GMCTL) offers courses and workshops for graduate students, post doctoral fellows, faculty and instructors to improve their teaching and professional skills.


Mitacs Programs

Mitacs is a non profit organization that offers funding opportunities and professional skills development workshops at no cost to graduate students and post-doctoral fellows enrolled at or employed by Canadian universities.

EDGE by Mitacs Training provides advance degree graduates and Mitacs program participants with access to courses that supplement their education and research experience with skills that are in-demand from today’s workforce. Registration for Mitacs Training courses is done online through the EDGE Portal by the participant.

Mitacs Accelerate offers internships to graduate students and postdoctoral fellows from all disciplines to collaborate with industry (for profit or not-for-profit organizations) on research projects. Four-month units can be combined, either for a longer internship or a cluster grant with many interns, universities or companies. Applications are accepted throughout the year and are not competitive. Your local Mitacs representative can provide help facilitate academia-private sector collaborations,  explain details one-on-one, help fine tune your proposals and coordinate administration.

Mitacs Elevate offeres career building through this competitive annual fellowship for up to two years. Elevate includes a research management training program and a postdoctoral fellowship.  Leadership and business skills training are included in the program’s curriculum. Mitacs Globalink is a student mobility and research funding program in Canada with many options for incoming and outgoing travel/research for senior undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty, for the purpose of conducting research.
