Reports

USask values data-informed practices and the evaluation of ongoing efforts to support high quality teaching and learning through strategies. Ongoing reports to the USask community about teaching and learning are a key element to quality enhancement.

Teaching Practices Survey

The Teaching Practices Survey (TPS) is designed to better understand teaching and learning from USask educators’ perspectives. It looks at the following:
  • Teaching practices
  • Beliefs about teaching and learning
  • Perceptions of the teaching climate at USask

National Survey of Student Engagement

The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE, pronounced "Nessie") is a survey that measures students' levels of engagement with their institution. The NSSE collects information from first-year and final-year undergraduate students across the United States and Canada about their participation in programs and activities that institutions provide for their learning and personal development. The survey is broadly categorized into ten Engagement Indicators (EIs) that are concentrated among four general themes: academic challenge, learning with peers, experiences with faculty, and campus environment.
