Teaching and Learning

Paula Marcelle is an AI in Teaching and Learning Specialist at the Gwenna Moss Centre for Teaching and Learning. She supports educators in exploring and integrating learning technologies, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence tools, into teaching and learning in ways that are purposeful, learner-centred, and informed by effective educational practice.

Paula began her career teaching mathematics and physics before moving into instructional design and educational technology. She brings more than 15 years of experience in online and blended education, with professional experience spanning instructional design, learning design, faculty support, and the integration of educational technologies into teaching and learning.

Paula holds a Doctor of Education in Instructional Systems Technology and graduate qualifications in instructional design and technology. Her professional and scholarly interests include artificial intelligence in education, self-regulated learning, micro-credentials, online learning, and educational technology. She is particularly interested in how emerging technologies can be thoughtfully incorporated into learning environments while supporting learner agency and effective teaching practice.
