Teaching and Learning

Jade Hupé is a proud Métis educator from Saskatoon, with familial roots in Ste. Anne, Manitoba. She earned her Bachelor of Education from the University of Saskatchewan and spent several years teaching in Saskatoon’s K–12 provincial school system as a middle-years French Immersion educator. Following the completion of her Master of Educational Administration- Indigenous Education Leadership Cohort at the University of Saskatchewan, Jade joined the Gwenna Moss Centre for Teaching and Learning as an Educational Development Specialist – Indigenous Education.

In this role, she supports the University’s efforts toward Indigenization in higher education by developing accessible and actionable strategies that empower faculty to engage in Indigenization, (Re)conciliation, and decolonization practices. Jade is deeply committed to embedding Indigenization, along with principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion, into all facets of teaching and learning.
