Rosa Moazed Graduate and Postdoctoral Professional Skills Coordinator

Rosa joins our team with extensive experience in teaching, content creation and course development, updated knowledge of teaching best practices as well as collaboration with academic leaders, faculty, administrators, and students across diverse disciplines. This includes several years' experience as instructor of various undergraduate and graduate courses in communication, linguistics, and language teaching in addition to CGPS courses including GPS989: Introduction to University Teaching and GPS982: Mentored Teaching offered through GMCTL. She continues to teach as a sessional lecturer at the Ron and Jane Graham School of Professional Development, College of Engineering. Rosa has also served on various committees including the University of Saskatchewan's Interdisciplinary Studies Committee as an Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) specialist, and the Teaching, Learning, and Academic Resources Committee (TLARC) of University Council.

Rosa provides effective leadership in student skill development, including curriculum development, instruction, assessment, and campus outreach, with a particular emphasis on graduate student and postdoctoral researcher skill development. She facilitates active learning in online and in-person workshops and presentations delivered to students through campus partnerships as well as teaching all sections of GPS 984: Thinking Critically and GPS 974: Graduate Professional Skills Certificate. Rosa also contributes to the Co-Curricular Record and USask Student Competencies Working Groups to determine and develop clear strategic plans, mutually beneficial partnerships, innovative programming, sound implementation plans, and strong outcome and assessment strategies. She oversees Career Services' Campus Partnerships strategy ensuring consistent communication, regular and meaningful needs assessment, and development of clear indicators of success. Having developed courses on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, Rosa advances and champions EDI in all Career Services' programming.

Rosa holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a focus on understanding the communication needs of students and faculty, and devising training content to enhance the communication skills of medical professionals.
