Finding Your Why in Open: Connecting Values, Practice, and Student Success 

Session Description - Open education is rooted in access, collaboration, and student empowerment. This interactive session invites instructors and GMCTL staff to explore their personal “why” for openness in teaching and learning. Through reflective storytelling and an engaging activity, participants will connect their teaching values to open practices that enhance inclusion, innovation, and student success. 

No prior experience with open education is needed just curiosity and a desire to reflect, share, and take one practical step toward openness. Registration is appreciated, please use the button below.

About Amanda Coolidge

Amanda Coolidge is the founder and principal of Coolidge Collaborative Inc., a consulting practice specializing in open education, strategic planning, research and evaluation, and facilitation. She partners with organizations across Canada and beyond to design people-centered, values-driven strategies that advance equity, accessibility, and innovation in education.  

Before launching her own consultancy, Amanda served as Executive Director of BCcampus, where she led province-wide initiatives in open education and digital learning that have collectively saved students millions of dollars.

Her work continues to champion openness, collaboration, and sustainable systems change across the postsecondary landscape.
