Tyler is a Career Educator and Certified Coach who is driven to support, guide, and coach students and alumni to take the next step in their career journey. Tyler supports students and alumni through one-to-one career coaching sessions, facilitates career education workshops and presentations, and collaborates with faculty to integrate career education into the curriculum. Tyler also leads the development and implementation of the USask Major Maps project.
About USask Major Maps
Major Maps help students make informed choices about their courses, promote the importance of taking part in experiences outside of the classroom, and encourage active participation at key points along their journey to earning a degree. Additionally, Major Maps help students better understand the career opportunities associated with their chosen degree.
Tyler has a professional background as a teacher in the public school system and program coordinator in the non-profit sector. Tyler received a Bachelor of Education degree in 2013 from USask, a Post-Degree Certificate in Career and Guidance Studies (USask) in 2023, and is currently an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Tyler is professionally trained in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), Applied Suicide Intervention (ASIST), and is a certified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Practitioner.
