Ryan Banow joined the Gwenna Moss Centre for Teaching and Learning in 2012. His work focuses on supporting educators in using learning technologies to enhance teaching and improve student learning. He holds a Graduate Certificate in Leadership (GCL), an M.Ed. in Educational Technology and Design, a B.Sc. in Mathematics, and a B.Ed. in Secondary Mathematics and Physics.
As Learning Technologies Lead, Ryan provides strategic leadership for the university’s learning technology ecosystem. He coordinates the maintenance and support of core teaching and learning tools (e.g., Canvas, Panopto, Poll Everywhere), guides strategic planning with academic and IT partners, and supervises a team of learning technology professionals. He also collaborates across the institution to shape approaches to assessment and classroom design and leads professional development that helps educators adopt flexible and innovative practices.
