Indigenous Experiential Learning Coordinator - Maternity LeaveDelanie Beavereye, the Indigenous Experiential Learning Coordinator at Career Services within University of Saskatchewan is a mom of two dogs and a proud descendant of Fon du Lac Denesuliné First Nation in Treaty 8 Territory and the Métis village of St. Louis, Saskatchewan located in Treaty 6. She focuses on revitalizing reconciliation and Indigenous ways of knowing within student engagement, student support through inclusive experiential learning, community connection, inside the classroom, on the land, and during student practicum placements. Currently, she's developing the Indigenous Student Internship Program, part of the collaborative initiative Oyateki Partnership, supported by Mastercard Foundation's EleV's program. This program empowers Indigenous learners to become active partners in their educational journey towards meaningful work, and it commences in January 2024.
Delanie holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Saskatchewan and a Master of Indigenous Education from the University of Regina.
