Toni Marchione is an educational development specialist with interests in adult education, active learning and indigenization. As a member of the GMCTL, Toni is part of the move to Canvas team, responsible for providing Canvas related training to faculty and staff.
Prior to starting at the GMCTL, Toni worked as a science teacher at Southeast Collegiate, a high school for First Nations students in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She also worked with Indigenous adults who were working towards their mature student diplomas at the Aboriginal Community Campus in Winnipeg.
Toni holds a Bachelor of Science B.Sc. (Hons) Biological Sciences (1992, University of Plymouth), Post Graduate Certificate in Education (1996, College of St Mark and St John, Plymouth), Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Education (2011, University of Manitoba), Certificate in Adult Continuing Education (2014, University of Manitoba) and a Master of Education with a focus on adult education (2020, University of Manitoba).
