Lisa started teaching at the Language Centre in 2002. Wanting to do more to help her students, she enrolled in a M.Ed. program and completed her thesis on the reading problems of ESL learners. Her project was published in the well-known Journal of Research in Reading.
Lisa has taught and written many different classes and levels at the Language Centre. She has also been an ESL Advisor and Curriculum Coordinator. She regularly teaches for the College of Education training new teachers for ESL work. Lisa has earned the University of Saskatchewan Provost’s Award for Excellence in International Teaching and the TESL Saskatchewan Award of Merit.
Currently, Lisa is the Bridging Class Coordinator and the resident curriculum expert, particularly with regard to the newly developed online classes.
