Amaranta (Amy) Sokol Como is a Student Development Coordinator with the Aboriginal Students' Centre (ASC), University of Saskatchewan. Her hometown is Duck Lake, SK with family roots in Beardy's and Okemasis First Nation and Poland. She holds a Bachelors and Masters of Education and a Certificate in Leadership in Post-Secondary Education from University of Saskatchewan. Her career has been driven by a focus on Indigenous education. Amaranta's portfolio with the ASC is largely health and wellness; she also co-supervises the Building Bridges program in partnership with the International Student and Study Abroad Centre (ISSAC).
