Before joining the team in 2022, Derek held various roles in instructional design at Queen’s University, supporting the Faculty of Arts & Science and the Smith School of Business in the design of courses and content that is accessible, interactive, and authentic.
Outside of instructional design, Derek also has experience in: textbook accessibility remediation for eCampusOntario; elementary school teaching; and eLearning development for private sector companies Johnson & Johnson, Pernod Ricard, and Unilever.
