Academic Integrity

Is it common knowledge or plagiarism? Is it collaboration or cheating? What is a fair dealing copy?

What is Academic Integrity?

The U of S strives to create a campus culture that values and celebrates academic honesty. Yet, inevitably every instructor, while grading student work, comes across an assignment or exam that appears to fall short of the expectations required of academic integrity at the university level.

Before addressing such cases it is important you familiarize yourself with the student academic dishonesty rules that govern the U of S.

If you need assistance interpreting these regulations or would like additional information about what to do in a particular case, it is recommended that you contact the Office of the University Secretary at 966-4632.
